monitor audio rs6 package question?

hi a friend of mine has the monitor audio rs6 av silver speaker package he is after a onkyo nr 5008 amp would the amp work ok with the rs6 or is the amp overkill for the speakers if so can anybody recommend an 3d amp that would work really well with the speakers to get the full potential out of them thanks need reply asap

A silver RS6 speaker setup is a top package and will do justice to the onkyo .

Alternative good match with these speakers is the Yamaha RX-V3067.

best bet is to demo the amp .

He does not need to spend so much on the AV, a cheaper AV like the Yahmaha mentioned above would do the trick. Also tell your friend to consider the Denon 4311 and Pioneer LX83. The Onkyo 5008 is a very good AV, but slightly overkill for those speakers.
