Hello,

Does anyone have experience with these bookshelf speakers because i can not find any decent reviews on the internet.
Price is 2000€ for a pair so they better be good.

Pretty sure the Gold 6G line has literally just come out so this is why there will be little info on the net.

Best thing will be to see if there is a dealer nearby that will be getting them and go and have a listen. Personally I really like MA speakers so I suspect they will be great.

Whilst it's not ideal, you can also look at reviews of the Gold 5G range to give you an idea what you can expect.

Thanks for the info. I thought the 7G line was the latest. The Gold 50 6G is almost one year old.

The only line on its 7th Generation is the Silver line.

This is the post from the MA FB page just under 24 hours ago (which is what I am basing this on. 😊) Perhaps they have been out a little while? I've only just started seeing them on retailer sites.

It's a newish speaker, the latest series is the 6th gen. Several reviews of the larger Gold 100 are out.

In either case these speakers, by paper and reviews, will require muscular amplification. Be warned. Monitor Audio are not messing about here. Your M10 V3 may just be able to cut the mustard, but I would suggest auditioning with your amp if you can - it's compact so should not be too much trouble.

Yeah it is very hard to choose the right compact speaker, too many choices these days.
I have my eyes set on these 3 speakers for my desktop setup.
  • Spendor A1.2 - 2000€ - 2-way 6,00" - W165 x D185 - 150cm cone - 8ohm
  • M.A. Gold 50 6G - 2000€ - 2-way 6,00" - W185 x D280 - 150cm cone - 4ohm
  • Dynaudio Evoke 10 - 1500€ - 2-way 5,50" - W180 x D266 - 140cm cone - 6ohm
The new Spendor speaker seems to have the smallest cabinet.

No, I've demoed the Gold 100 5G and they were good. But when I directly compared them to the Amphion Argon 1 and Dali Rubicon 2, they came up short sound quality wise.

It'll depend on what amp you are proposing to use with them. As @Messiah and @Al ears have suggested a demo is the only way to know is whether they tug your rug or not.

Yeah Dali is good but the cabinet is to big for me, and the argon is to bright for my Ncore amplifier.

I'm going to drift from the main narrative and suggest you look at the latest offerings from Korean outfit Mon Acoustics.
They've been making the waves with the Platimon speakers but these are priced in excess of 6k.
The new Supermon mini are bookshelf size and they're about £2k.

I'm not sure if there is a UK dealership, if not, better to go with your original plan.
