Monitor Audio Apex

Hello from Denmark,

I have been looking alot on the Apex speakers, and thinking of buying 3xA40 and 2xA10. I just have one question, and hope you can help me. Does they work well with rock music? (with sub of course) Or would that be a really stupid choice? I don't have the room for floor speakers, so im looking for something for the wall. As it is now, it will be 70% movies/games and 30% music. Maybe even less. But since they are not cheap, it has to be something that works well with both, so I can enjoy it for a long time.

For now, I own 2xB&W XT2 speakers, and one B&W HTM62 for center. No rear speakers. So the other question is if it will be a big/small downgrade or upgrade? Apex A40 is more expensive, but that does not mean its better of course.

There is a long thread on this section on MA Apex speakers which, if you only read some of it, will tell you that these are excellent speakers for Home Cinema and music

Not sure what your source is but in general terms you should be fine, I use mine for music as well as movies and am very happy wiht the performance, buy with confidence and don't forget the sub.

I have now been reading through over a 100 pages, and have decided to go for the Apex, and will continue my posts in the Apex thread.
