"I never thought it would win - I built it in 2002. I thought the test would kill the old Era Gold off. I'm pretty sure it was the one Hi-Fi Choice sent back after giving it only 2 stars, and I thought I'm going to prove them wrong. I knew it was good because Len Gregory, Geoff Husband and Rome E Catellanes were telling me so. But I never expected the "miraculous" review published January 2004.
I was also worried because the tracks were so awkward for me to play. I could only get VLC media player to open them, and found all of them sounded brash. The least brash was 7 IMO but VLC was outputting 24/48 into a Bitzie, and not 24/96. I'm just grateful that those who voted obviously had better software than me. I am both surprised and delighted."
