Will be very interesting how these measure up to the KK subwoofers.

Performance first and then taking cost into account I guess.

a lot of bumf in the whitepaper about how they claim to be the inventor of the subwoofer. Are there any employees still there that helped Ken design his 1st subwoofer?

Well Ken designed the first active subwoofer, and the consequent models after that too under the Miller & Kreisel (M&K) name, so unless Ken works for them... :)

All the details are plain as day under "history":

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subwoofer

And of course there is Ken Kreisel's very own timeline:

That's not for me to say, but there's plenty of evidence present with a few minutes Googling.

I suppose it helps to know Ken Kreisel's history, and knowing the difference between M&K and MK Sound. It is very simple, but it seems that confusion is being created in order to make the line between the two a little 'fuzzy'.

I don't have a problem with them listing the achievements of the old company, but I don't think they should be making out that the original designers are still with them.

As awesome as the new X series should be i think they a bit late to the party....... i can't see how these will beat Ken's DXD's in performance or value.

Well MK Sound's S150 MkII is still fairly new, so I doubt they're up for replacement.

It'll be interesting to see how the Quattros compare to the S150's as they use more drive units, have dedicated front height speakers, and their surround speakers are more flexible.

There's no word on Ken's S150 replacement as yet, but you'll soon know when there is :)
