Mission MX S as desktop speakers

Hello all,

I'm looking at getting some sort of set up for the desktop. Just now I'm looking at getting a small amp, like the NuForce Icon, and some speakers that are small enough for the desk. I've been looking at the active speaker options too, however I would like to get some opinions on the Mission MX S with NuForce amp combo. Has anyone gone for this sort of set up instead of actives?

Thanks for thr reply. I'm still leaning towards actives too, I thought an amp and passives might be cheaper but it seems to be about the same.

I understand actives will be cheaper and take up less space.
