Yeh I heard that, I cant see how the movie companies hold us prisoner with our own movies.

You know what I really hate... The part to say this movie is not the opinion of the studios and all the stupid adverts.

Its my movie I paid for it, its my TV and Blu-ray player that we pay 1000's for, but I am not allowed to protect my own property from damage?

Anyway rant over, might opt for the popcorn a200, but no real decent shops are selling it, also if it streams, why do you need a HDD?

as most are being sold with drives, do I need one?

Well, if they are your own movies, of course they can't. However, in the case of movies you haven't produced, directed and edited yourself, while you own the physical disc and its case, you are effectively licensing the content from the studios to watch, so you don't have any rights to do with it what you will.

How come I can copy a HD movie from sky then?

Not arguing, just seems unfair that I can copy unlimited HD movies from sky, but when I buy a movie for 15.00 I cant copy it.

Seems strange eh!

By copying do you mean record onto your Sky PVR? You can't copy HD films off the Sky unit (well you can but that involves going down the route of using different satellite receivers )

If you copy DVDs/Blu rays you are generally circumnavigating the copy protection put there deliberately by the studio which in this country is illegal. If you want to do this and get files playing on the PS3 there are plenty of places on the web which will tell you how to do this.

Mezzmo is doing a good job on te BDP 370, plays flac ect.. but I need to pay for it, after my trial.

Looking at Play-on hd mini, seems same price as the WD LIVE.

But then again might be worth paying double for the popcorn hour.

I see what you are saying about removing copy protection.
