may i know the last marantz pm with metal frontal panels?

i remember i had for a while a marantz pm made in japan with metal frontal panels

i own a Marantz PM 8005 but the frontal panels are in plastic

do you remember the last model pm with metal panels?

i put 2 arrows to let you know what i mean for frontal panels

Hi, Marantz is still producing several amps with metal front, but they are reference amps today. Like Model 10 or PM 10 and PM 12 before. For cheaper Matantz models I will not put my hand into the fire. And yes anything made from proper metal is expensive. I hate those plasticky "tofu" looking things as well.

Cost wise I can see why they might have done it but it would not factor in to my selection of an amplifier sound wise

You mean amp with toroid transformer from plastic? Or transistors?😆

I was curious, and my SA-14 CD player seems to be metal, so I imagine the matching amp PM-14 is too. They date from about 2016 I think.
