Maximum Size TV Standard Def Satellite Broadcast/Dvd playback

I was wondering what the largest or optimum size tv I could get for standard definition Satelite Broadcast and Dvd playback before the picture worsens. Looking at TV reviews I get the impression (depending on the model of Tv ) that 55" is the maximum for standard defintion.

A lot depends on how far away you intend to sit from the screen.
