You don't list your kit in your signature, what is the rest of your kit?
How do you do it actually?😬. Went into my profile, under “about” it says “this user hasn’t shared any information” or something like that but can’t see how to edit. Maybe it has to be done on desktop?

Top right of the screen click on your member icon then select Signature and fill in the box :)

Paradoxically, this made me realise just how good the 7200 is. Now will need to address the overheating- and the occasional hum I had forgotten about. And spend my money on records instead haha
Just read a few reviews of the 7200, everyone rates it highly but the main criticism is it does run rather hot and hums. I wasn't aware that it was a Class A/AB, first 25W in Class A. As recently as last year another member, JDL, swapped out his 7200 for a Model 30 and seems very pleased with it.

Yes, I can definitely confirm both the above haha. Had actually forgotten about the humming. Well, my ears still not refined enough to pick it up over the music, so not a deal breaker yet.

I have to hold my horses now and research properly - want to avoid more oversized amp situations... The new Marantz are both too deep unfortunately - looked it up earlier today.

In the meanwhile, just enjoy what I have - the 7200 is less than a month old after all and a cracking amp (especially for £350)

Right, done. Returned - guy actually popped round immediately to collect, really nice about it.

Ah, I was going to say you could buy a couple bof isolation pucks to replace the front feet and place them further back under the amp..... Until I saw this post :)

Ha. To be honest it was the fact it protruded by two inches (actually a lot more if you count the knobs, which are also quite deep) while being squashed right against the wall that was the main issue. The front feet were just “in”.

Anyway, the key thing is - I couldn’t really hear this massive difference between the 7200 and the PM14 on a side by side test. Which tells me the 7200 is probably my “level” at the moment. I am not an audiophile and probably never will be. I can tell if something is better if it smacks me in the face (like the Focal Aria 906 compared to my old Wharfedale Diamond 9, or the 7200 compared to the Denon PMA -800NE it replaced). With the PM14 I really, really had to pay attention, and it was subtle. So I am definitely in the land of diminishing returns…

Or like the Wiim Pro Plus compared to the Google Chromecast Audio - possibly the biggest difference of them all.
