Marantz CD42

Hi,

I have an old Marantz CD42 which works perfectly, apart from the disc loading tray juddering and rattling a bit when loading. Does anyone know if you can still source parts for this machine, or if it is worth fixing. I was thinking of selling it as i no longer need it.

I believe that the draw cogs and belts wear out, they can be replaced and the parts can be had off eBay (item number 201032260442).

I know it sounds wasteful but don't spent too much on it. There are some dreamers on eBay wanting £80-£100 but typically you can pick another one up on there for under £40. Half that if you spot a collection-only auction nearby.

Thanks folks, i'll see if it's worth repairing, but i can put it on Ebay with or without the repair. No use lying in a cupboard.
