MA Radius 370HD / Onkyo TX-NR609: Subwoofer crossover frequency

My MA 370HD active subwoofer manual recommends to set the Low Pass Filter to OUT/LFE, which bypasses the sub Crossover Frequency Control and lets the AVR control the crossover frequency. I have read several threads suggesting a crossover frequency of around 100hz, so should I let the sub/AVR sort it out automatically as the manual suggests or set the low Pass Filter to 'IN' and set the crossover freqency control manually at 100hz?

I assume your using this for movies?

If so, I would set the Low filter to "Out" and in the amp set the subwoofer crossover to 80Hz. That should set you straight.
