M2Tech hiFace - any alternatives??

Anyone aware of a cheaper rival/alternative to the M2Tech hiFace? I'm sure the hiFace is very fine, but it costs £100. [:|] Ta [🙂]

How come you need it? Surely you can connect your mac to the rDac via USB and achieve exactly the same thing can't you? I would have thought you'd only need the hiFace if your Dac didn't have a USB input?

For 24/192, rDAC needs coax and MacBook Pros don't have a coax-out.

So a hiFace USB/coax adaptor is the solution, albeit relatively costly, hence enquiry re a (cheaper) rival product.

However, product info has no mention of 192khz or coax.

given how much 24/192 music is out there, and most of that i wouldn't call music, do you really need one? sorry, not much help with your question...

Oh, I dunno, Linn Records and 2L, for example, seem to have tempting catalogues, containing many recordings of fine performances, which'll sound even better in 192.
