LPCM Clarification

If you have any AV reciever which has a HDMI 1.3a interface will it accept LPCM without the requirement of DTS HD etc decoding? For example the Denon 1908 accepts HDMI 1.3a, will that mean it will amplify the LPCM sent from a device?

Checking the specs and the manual for the 1908, it seems it will accept LPCM over HDMI, so provided the player you use with it can output LPCM and decode the DTS and Dolby Digital HD formats to LPCM, then it should work fine.

That was just an example really, in your experience have you found that most new AV recievers with HDMI 1.3a will accept LPCM?
