I’m using iPhone 11 and I want to buy Sony xm 4. They are wireless so only plays aac codec. If I wire them to my phone will I be able to play Apple Lossless through Apple Music? Or Sony xm4 doesn’t support lossless audio through the wire?

I have the Sony WH900..
If yours is anything like mine. It is wireless AND has a corded (detatchable) connection.

Then get yourself an external DAC and plug your headphone in to that.

I think it is more to do with codec support than whether they are wired/wireless.

Spec sheet suggests they do NOT support ALAC but (unsurprisingly) do support HD Audio via Sony's own LDAC codec.
So if I want to listen ALAC I have to buy another wired headphones?

The AAC codec is sufficient for high-quality music playback, it more than covers the DIN45500 standard (Hi-Fi)
