I have been looking up this pop pulse T180 it's pretty impressive spec its fully balanced XLR , a big power supply and you can turn the amp into a mono block so you could buy 2 of these and run them as a pair of mono blocks and use a separate pre amp . Not sure what this cost new but the one on flea bay is around £300 which is cheap for that kind of spec and with the components used in building this amp . Anyone know how big the power supply is on this amp . I have never heard a class T amp before are they any good .

Class T or Tripath amplifiers ( patented ) are a unique type of class D amp, they were originaly sold as separate chips to be built into amplifiers, I think they were bit ahead of their time when people thought that anything digital was the spawn of the devil .

Many top hifi companies have used them inc Audio research, Bel canto, Veritas, etc.

I am not sure of the power supply size but a quick call to the seller could answer this.

The original selling price was £369 but they have been reduced mainly due to scruffy packaging.

Class T or Tripath chips are still considered by many to be the best of the lot and the Poppulse is one of the best implementations I have seen with the very best power supply at a very reasonable price, they also claim that it is fully balanced!

Not as good as your Abrahamsen *smile* but better than anything else near the price imo .

Some useful info below .
