I use the Oppo app on a my Kindle Fire to do that.... Although the Oppo itself will show track information. That’s because you have an Oppo with Pure Audio mode. And because it’s stereo you are not having to select soundtracks you can use. Often with Blu-ray Audios you have to select the soundtracks using the TV screen.
Ah right.I use the Oppo app on a my Kindle Fire to do that....
Ok, but that’s about SACD which I *do* understand and use. 🙂Some spill how it works below. The player with SACD hybrid capability automatically defaults to the highest resolution layer, if the firmware is out of date, it may only read from the CD surface.
You just select the audio track required from the menu on screen or my Sony Blu Ray player has an Audio button on the remote control that enables you to switch between them. I have a number of the Steven Wilson Yes remixes which contain multiple versions of the album, remix, instrumental mix, original LP mix, needle drop version, 5.1 surround mix etc etc and they are now being reissued with Dolby Atmos surround mixes too. That’s the part I don’t quite get. How to access the higher resolution layer. I’m sure I read that some of these were created to hold several CDs worth on one disc, like a super long-player. Have you seen those, or was imagining it?
