Hi, I'm looking to buy some headphones for use with my tablet and phone. Want as good as possible for £60 or less. I was thinking the akg 451 but reading user reviews is seriously putting me off. I like all types of music. I like clarity and soundstage if possible, and I like bass, but not to the detriment of the music.

Any suggestions please,

Thank you.

I've got these:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/SoundMAGIC-P21-Foldable-Closed-Headphones-Green/dp/B00LHY7M8Q

They are good with sound isolation too.

You could always subscribe to Home Cinema Choice and get a free pair worth £50! That's what I did with mine.

Thanks for the suggestion gel. I found this site

http://theheadphonelist.com/headphone-review-list/

...and went through the ones round about £100 and the p30 seem like a good all rounder. I don't have a TV so I won't be subscribing to home cinema just yet,but thanks for tip.

From the list, others that caught my eye were audio technical ath m50, denon d1100, Sony MDR zx 700, MDR v55, MDR v6, creative aurvana live 2.

Does anyone have preferences of any of these if they have heard two or more sets?

Or any other comments/views on the p30.

Cheers! :)

The P30 is a very small, very light plastic headphone, while others that you mentioned (i.e. M50) are large and fairly heavy, and tend to have a much bigger sound due to much larger earcups.

The original Creative Aurvana Live! is better (and/or) better value than anything on that list. It was originally sold as the Denon D1001 (The D1100 replaced it in Denon's line up but is far inferior)

Can be had for around £50 & are also very comfortable

Here's a good review: http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/creative-aurvana-live-classic-reincarnate

im currently eyeing up the akg y50's, or am considering the sennheiser urbanites on ear which i heard the other day and they sounded great. just a shame they are a bit pricey as I get the feeling they will be down to £100 after the summer.?? will let you know the outcome....when it happens....
