Looking for a slimline home cinema amp/receiver

Hello,

I currently have a Marantz SR5600 which I bought 11 years ago. It still works perfectly but I've moved house and am looking for something smaller. The amp would need to work with a 5.1 Mission M-Cube speaker setup, a Panasonic blu-ray player, and a Samsung smart tv.

Searching on the internet I noticed the Marantz NR1506, which is about 10-11cm tall and the kind of size I'm after.

I have two questions:

1. Are there any other slimline amps I could or should consider?

2. Can I just swap one for another or are there compatibility concerns I need to consider?

Marantz 1506 has been superseded by the 1607.

More watts, 7.2 channels, 4K pass-through, 3D capable, Atmos and DTS:X, HDCP2.2, HDR, and I believe the UK version will even get up during the adverts during Coronation Street and put the kettle on!
