Hi folks

I'm looking for a cheapish internet radio setup and some wireless speakers to go along with it , any recommendations would be greatly appreciated?

Or even a decent internet radio with good sound, I'm a bit wary of all these brand names I've not heard of.

Might a Sangean WFR-32 work for you? I can recommend this brand as I've used an RCR-40 model successfully for a few years. Friends are also happy with a Sangean portable radio they move around the house, though that also lacks internet radio. My RCR-40 looks nearly or truly identical to this internet radio model which I now wish I needed, and it has excellent stereo sound. This WFR-32 is going for $129 at amazon dot com today.

My RCR-40 has Bluetooth, but I haven't applied it in any way.

I use an Auna Connect 150 for internet radio that has excellent speakers and has also worked fine for years, but that is not a known brand and believe is no longer available in any case.

Good luck in your quest.

I like B&O Beosound Emerge for internet radio. I have a pair so get the full effect of a concert or drama. Cheap it is not but when many internet radios lost BBC stations in 2023 because they used TuneIn and will never get an update B&O updated their Mozart platform speakers.

These speakers and others in the Beosound range use wi-fi and do not need to cast from a mobile device over Bluetooth. From my own library of ripped CDs wi-fi is uncompressed and lossless.

Your ears, your budget, your choice.
