Has anyone managed to get a Harmony 555 to 'absorb' a Logic3 PS3 remote's commands?

Tried using the Logic3 entry in Harmony's database & it does not work.

Tried manually loading the commands but Harmony's onscreen prompts don't correspond to the Logic3's buttons.

Please help!

I don't understand - you should able able to get to the Learn commands page where it has all the standard functions you'll need e.g. PowerToggle, PowerOn, PowerOff, Play, Stop, Eject etc. etc. with a Learn button next to it. Tick the box next to all the commands you need to learn from the remote, click the Learn Selected Commands button at the bottom of that section and then it should prompt you to then press them in sequence to program it in.

Thanks for reply.

Have tried as you suggested. However, it appears that the 555 has learnt a set of incorrect commands...

professorhat:That's even more confusing! How can it have learnt a set of incorrect commands? Did you use the correct remote during the learning process?

Just downloaded Harmony's recent firmware upgrade.

Tried adding the Logic3 via 'new devices' (Harmony has it listed) &... nowt!

Then tried manually loading the commands &... nowt! The Logic3's minimalist-style keypad doesn't exactly help. For example, 'play' & 'pause' are the same button, which is rather confusing when Harmony's step-by-step guide asks for separate entries for 'play' & 'pause'.

Does anyone have experience of an infrared PS3 remote for BDs/DVDs, which the Harmony 555 can actually recognise/learn? Thanks.

I'm using one purchased from Game and have copied the commands onto my Harmony Remote. No Power On/Off though.

Again, I'm still confused as to how this isn't working. I can understand the Logic3 device not working from Logitech's database, but when you get to the stage of manually programming in the IR commands, there's not really not much room for error i.e. you select the command for powering on the player, you press that button a few inches from the bottom of the Harmony and it should tell you if it accepts it or not. The fact that Play and Pause are the same button doesn't really matter, you should still get the same functionality you get from the Harmony as you do from the Logic3. I'm assuming the remote from Logic3 actually works?
Assuming it does, the only thing I can think is, the Logic3 is sending the IR commands slightly longer than the Harmony and this is why they're not being picked up. You can get through this following the inbuilt troubleshooting tool, but here's a guide to help out.
Hope this helps.
