Hi All.

Looking for some advice.

I managed to demo a sneaky DS and really loved the sound of it.

I don't think my budget can stretch to a DSM but can anyone let me know if the DSM has any functionality over the DS that would be important/more future proof.

Also, what sort of price should I be looking at for the DS? Most retailers seem to have it at £1015 RRP and when I ask them about buying one they tend to offer £950 at the lowest. That doesn't seem a great price for something that is now several years old and has been solf for £799 etc by online retailers like Superfi in the past.

Do you think it would be possible to get one from a shop for, say £899?

Cheers.

Hi Big_Matt

Here is a thread I wrote after listening to a Sneaky DS and a Majik DSM with a variety of speakers: http://www.whathifi.com/forum/hi-fi/linn-kef-regaand-a-friend.

The Sneaky is a surprisingly good piece of kit, and should imo be heard with Kef R Series / LS50s.

Compared to the Sneaky DSM, the DS version has no inputs and less power.....check out the Linn website for details. If you want the Sneaky to be a media hub, with different things going through it, the DSM is the way to go.

If you can get the Sneaky below £1000, you are doing well.......I'm not sure Superfi has any left at that bargain price. If you need support with the installation, a Linn dealer is the way to go.
