LG Nexus 4 phone coming on Oct 29th?

I must say I am surprised at Google's choice of LG to make its next generation phones.

Remind me again, why did Google buy Motorola? Just for the patents? Why doesn't Motorola release Google Nexus phones?

more disappointed with the crappy memory options - 8GB or 16GB and no microSD.

Who's gonna buy a phone with that little memory?

CPW are offering it on O2 and Vodafone. Though they appear to be taking the pi$$ with the tariffs. I'll be buying it sim free/unlocked personally

Definitely extracting the proverbial.

Good to hear it's not locked down in any way... And you get Jellybean 4.2 with it.

Given the mess Google made of the Nexus 7 launch, I was hoping to be able to walk into a shop and pick one up on the 13th,

but from CPW tweets they'll only be offering them on new contracts/upgrades not sim free, so unless other retailers are going to stock them it may be the only option

Grr, stupid bloody website

Thanks for the link. The Nexus 4 really does look like an unbelievable bargain, they even say it's got the best screen they've seen on a phone, for just £239  Google.

:argh: I have the motor coordination skills of a yak! I could well end up with two half sims

I might just see if I can persuade orange to change my sim... Before I get the clippers out.

Posting from my crappy old Desire right now, so providing links is faffage, but there are templates available online you can d/load and print out, tape it to your sim and take a pair of sharp scissors to it... Job done.

I was determined to go for the iphone 5 but having read these reviews it's just too good and too cheap not to go for. Running costs are pennies compared to every rival, especially if you use quidco for a 12 month only sim from voda.

Nexus 4 16GB at £290

Vodafone £20.50 12 month sim only contract.
900 mins
1Gb data
Unlimited txt
Annual Cost £246
Quidco cashbach £120
Annual cost reduced to £126

Total 12 month running cost of £416 or £34.67 per month, plus you have a Nexus 4 to sell or keep at the end of 12 months. If you decide to keep the N4 for another year, move to giff gaff and save even more.
