Just following the thread over on AV re banding issues on the E6 and is quite obvious when watching tv with an example of a footy match.

why can't lg sort this out, they've had long enough now!
Have you got a link, so I can see too. Cheers. They seem to swap one problem for another.

This thread has been created specifically to deal with banding on the LG E6 OLED, for owners of the E6 to write in and complain - or praise!

Panasonic 65dx902 (ultra HD premium) anyone?

Its LCD so for me this is a place I will NEVER visit. Only, Plasma for me now then OLED for the only ultimate replacement for Plasma becasue the main criteria for me is deep inky blacks and OLED is the only way forward for a TV. There is also the option for a projector, but this will not suit/fit into my currentb living room..

I hope the G6 doesent have this problem and it also seems to be the 65" E6 reporting the banding issues, for now that is..

I don't think that the G6 is yet widely available, but I expect it to have the same banding problem as the E6, since I believe that they use the same panel, but the G6 has a better soundbar/base.

Series1boy, I would urge you to at least give LCD a chance. I had had only plasma televisions from July 2008 until February 2016, and I can honestly say that I don't notice much difference in picture quality between the Sony and the plasmas. A Full Array Local Dimming LCD set would be better again than my edge-lit Sony.

Again, be SPECIFIC, Gel! You've now had a number of "old TVs".
The LG 55980w OLED, the one you said to buy back off Nick?

Hey thanks for that son_of_sj I was pushing a friend towards the dx902 .you obviously want the best gel and why not but there ain't much left to play with. Are you now pinning all your hopes on the lg oled?

did the Panasonic Cz really have to go back??? , it has amazing reviews across the board.was there nothing that could have been done with a different calibration?

Son_of_SJ are u happy with the 75inch Sony?? Has been it been calibrated? Any problems?

Just cancelled my order, I am not sure what to do. I will probably buy a new LG OLED now.

So you've changed your mind in the last 56 minutes?? Mind you, only you can decide whether or not to go back down to 55 inches, but I do wish that you had never let your old 55-inch 980W OLED go. I'm a bit surprised that it was still available at Homesound.
