I've recently purchased a CYP AUD-150D DAC, for use between a pc & modest hifi.
Big improvement from taking the signal from the onboard sound card direct to the amp.
At present the dac is fed by the usb to mini usb lead & this doubles up as the power source. In the future, l will be looking to use a laptop with optical out & use the supplied power supply.
However, l would value opinion/recommendations on use of alternative (better?) usb to mini usb leads. The one that is supplied is, a guess, a starter lead & it's the old questionable debate about cable upgrade.
