LCD £600-£800 Advice for a poor man !!

I need some advice please, looking to get as big a tv with best spec for use with PS3 and V+ box for little as possible !!!!

Have seen LG 42LT75 for around £650 on the internet but have conflicting reports in reviews and advertisment about its HD ability (1080p/720?)

Plus I've also seen LG 42LG5000 is it worth the money for around £750 or is there better for cash around ? I have no preference to LG, this is just what I've found from browsing around for deals. Any hints guidance much appreciated !

Have you looked at Plasma?

The Panasonic 42PX80 can be got for as little as £650 -£700 It is a great set.
