Klipsch Mode M40 vs Bose Quiet Comfort 15 vs...?

Hi,

I currently use the B&W P7's as my main headphones (which I love) but I'm thinking of also buying a pair of noise cancelling headphones for those days on the train or in the office when I just want to shut things out. They would also be expected to perform on flights as we'll ranging from 3-12 hours.

For the price, currently £109, the Klipsch *seem* a great deal but I would like to hear from other people on this as the Klipsch are hard to find to test here in Sweden. I tried the Bose in Heathrow and they seemed pretty good in their demo conditions but real world feedback is always appreciated...not that I wouldn't trust Dixons to represent a product fairly to the consumer....especially if they were potentially leaving the country for good :shifty:

Thanks,

F

My impression of the QC-15 sound is neutral with enough treble to stand out from the usual crop of "relaxed treble" headphones like the Klipsch Mode. The Bose bass is fairly strong but not bloated, but my impression of the Klipsch bass is it's more like some of the Beats models - not exactly, but going that direction. My only listens to the Mode were at Brookstone, so not a very critical listen. I've had the QC-15 in my possession long enough to be familiar with it. If you like a hi-fi sound and the best possible noise canceling tech, the QC-15 is it.

Thanks for the feedback!

Ive actually taken another route and ordered the UE-6000 for £78. If they're good enough then great but if not I should be able to sell them on as they still retail for around £200 here in Sweden. Whatever happens though the P7's are going to be tough to partner with
