Klipsch iGroove iPod Speaker System

Wondered if anyone can help.

I have ordered a Klipsch iGroove iPod Speaker System from Amazon, now I wouldnt normally buy any piece of AV equipment without trying it out first, however the reviews on Amazon were so positive that I decided to go for it. Now I'm having second thoughts. No disrespect to the reviewers on Amazon but any comments on this product from WHF forum members would be welcome.

We reviewed the Klipsch iGroove in our August 06 issue and gave it 3 stars: "Decent dock but sonics are short on subtlety," we said.

For: Decent design; strong build; usable with non-Apple MP3 players; enthusiastic performance

Against: Unimpressive finish; slightly overbearing bass performance; treble can get thin

Verdict: The iGroove is a reasonably appealing product, but there are similarly-priced rivals that ooze a greater degree of class

What Ipod dock would you recommend for around the £100 mark?

Our 2007 Award winner was the Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere (£100). It has a built-in rechargeable battery unit, good for 10hrs playback, and it pumps out a much bigger sound than its size might suggest.

I am so tempted to get one of these for my wife to use with her 3g ipod nano 8gb. However, i can only find it online so cant test before seeing it but am prepared to take the word of the good people at what hifi. However, on the logitech website they state that the new nano needs an adaptor and that the tray in which the ipod comes is perfect for the job. They do not therefore make an adapter for this ipod. The plastic tray is quite thin and with bending it to get the ipod in and out i do not suspect it will last for too long. I have bought the universal dock adapters from the apple shop but although these will probably fit the logitech they seem too deep to hold the nano. Apple have told me that i have the correct ones and neither they nor logitech can tell me if these adapters will work properly. I cannot buy additional trays. Can whathifi or anybody who owns this dock tell me what they use as an adaptor or whether they simply put the ipod into the cradle as it is which something logitech told me is dangerous,
