I want to buy the X10s but can't find these online, I see Amazon selling Klipsch Image for 166, but read on some forums that these are older model of X10s and have issue with cable snapping at joints. While new X10s have improved cable is this correct?

I purchased mine from Klipsch' website. Good choice on headphones my friend, not too sure on the differences though!
I checked the Klipasch UK site the price stated is 229 which is 62.00 more then Amazon, I also found on WHF forum these were on discounted price specially for WHF readers at 129.00 that 100 quid off regular price, shame I missed that one.

I am also surprised that Klipsch is fluctuating prices on these headphones like stocks, first 229 then 180 and now back 229. wondering if their price is linked to sterling exhange rates directly.
If the Image and Image X10s are same and no issue with cable snapping then I will buys these from Amazon, have to save my hard earned money in these harsh financial crises.

The headphones you mention were originally called the Klipsch Image, but were renamed the Klipsch Image X10 when Klipsch introduced the cheaper X5 model, as you can read here. As far as I know, the spec is the same.
Although Klipsch cut its prices in the run-up to Christmas, it has unfortunately raised them again since, so the X10s are now officially £230, although you may find them for less online.

Blame it to WHF for over hype given to Klipsch as the best IEM money can buy today.
, if they knock-off couple of stars based on current pricing and performance againts the likes of Shure SE530 which is at the same price or IE8s which are even cheaper then I am shure Klipsch who are riding high in skies will drop flat on land.
I've been using a pair of Klipsch Image for six months now and I can say with certainty the cable hasn't snapped.
