The above is replacing the old Yamaha RXV1800. Looking forward to hooking it up.

An excellent choice! If you have a subwoofer, set all speakers to "small" and run Audyssey. Don't be scared to tweak the settings after that.

LCD 60 S3 centre, with matching B&W 601 S3 fronts.
Rel Quake subwoofer and B&W m satellites up high just behind seating posotion for rears. Will try that. Cheers.

Congratulations on your new toy

In my room, I find that the sorround sound effects are more focused with just a 3 point calibration, instead of the full 9 point calibration that comes in your new avr. If you mostly watch alone, then best to keep the microphone in your single seating position and do the 3 point calibration without changing its position. This will give you the best possible surround sound from your setup.
