Kef Uni-Q Q30 Speakers Advice.

Hi everyone

I am looking to upgrade my speakers and have a chance of purchasing some secondhand Kef Uni-Q Q30 speakers .They are in very good condition but i am a bit of a novice when it comes to Hi - Fi and would like some advice on the quality and performance of the speakers and how much should I be paying.

More to the point, what other equipment are you going to be using them with, and what sort of music do you listen to? Have you listened to the KEFs yet?

Hey thanks for your quick rely. I have a varied pallet but mainly AC/DC , The Clash but I recently have been playing The Seldom Seen Kid to death. I have an Arcam Solo Mini at the moment. Hope this helps.

I would imagine the KEFs would work well with your Arcam. The brighter sound of the speakers should complement the warmth of the electronics nicely. You need to try them with your Arcam first though to be sure the sound is exactly what you want.

I'm not sure on price. Best thing would be to do a search for completed listings on Ebay to get an idea of the sort of price they have been going for.

airliebird if you do get the iQ30s please let me know how it sounds. I also have the Solo Mini with 685s and think I could find a better suited speaker.
