KEF SPEAKER REPAIR

Drivers are often found on eBay, but with older speakers it can be easier simply to buy a complete speaker and swap the parts.

For example, this might be the same driver in a smaller cabinet - I’m sure a bit of googling will tell you. But you get the idea?

Looks overpriced to me - they were about £200 new, and they're about 20 years old!

Hi All, I'm after some advice on where I can possibly get a part for one of my Kef Q35 2 speakers.
It's badly damaged and looks like I need to replace it.
The part is Kef B160 Sp1445. Is it still possible to get these parts or maybe an equivalent.... Or am I wasting my time. Kind Regards. View attachment 10681View attachment 10682View attachment 10683
Hi, stupid question: does this demaged speaker sound at all? Or just whistles, noices etc. If voice coile is not demaged, than some repair of membraine is mossible. For start I will try to stick some good 3M tape only on cracked area. It may work for low volume. The whole looks like 3 years old son of yours tried to learn using scew driver for main screws on midbas. I have a friend here in Slovakia who can "cut, shape and bake" some kevlar cones. But this is expensive stuff. He repairs mainly old profi speakers. BR.
