Hi I am currently looking for some speakers to replace my Canton Chrono's, I have narrowed it down to

Kef R series , R500 front R200c center and R100 on rear /surround duty

Or DALI Mentor , Mentor 5 , Mentor Vokal, Mentor Menuet

I have a Pioneer LX-53 reciver and the 2 front channels are powered by a separat amp (class A/B 2x100w 8 ohm both channel driven)

I use the speakers for both music and movies , 30-40% music and 60-70% movies.

I use pure direct mode when listening to music.

I already have a SVS pb12 plus for sub duty.

Any help is appreciated please share you views and opinions

Can only speak for the kefs sigu, as they are what i have. Brilliant speakers for the money. But as always, go and dem them first.

cheers

Agreed.

I also haven't heard the Dali Mentors, but the R Series are exceptional (imo).

thank you. I will try to get a demo but its hard as the dealers close to me only have Dali ikon 6, zensor 5 and Kef Q900 for demo.

What finish do you have on yours ? Im a bit worried that the black gloss finish will have some annoying reflections when watching tv.

I have the black gloss, and while they do reflect i dont find it an issue,i love the finish.think it would depend on your viewing angle aswell, mine is almost straight on.
