Got the cambridge audio azur 540-V3 receiver due to space restrictions, would the KEF 2005.3 be just a waste of money with this Av receiver ie buy cheaper ones like KEF 1005.2 or the £250 Jamos? As im bothered i wouldnt get a noticeable sound improvement from spending an extra £300 quid.

You do get what you pay for, and with the KEF's being easy to drive, they'll not be overkill. They'll serve you well if you do upgrade your amp as well. When you do, try them with Onkyo....for some reason they seem to come alive with a 606.

The 2005's are a good step up from the 1005 and in turn the Jamo's as well. The main difference being the subwoofer. Try to arrange a demonstration and you will hear straight away.
