Hi Does anyone know what's new in iQx0 range (iQ50 instead of iQ5)?

I've noticed that they look a bit different but is there any improvement sound wise? Because of this new range the old one is selling at bargain prices iQ50 ~500£, iQ5 ~250£.

Nothing on their web site so I'm baffled are you sure you don't mean their XQ range?

IQ5 are being sold in several places at a discount compared to IQ5SE's

You are right - they apparently have a different bass driver and a big ugly foot on the bottom.

The problem with the IQ 5 SE's for a lot of folks would be the stability. It has such a small footprint that a toddler could easily knock it over. I can only imaging the IQ7 and IQ9 are worse in this regard.

I will now be on the lookout for some bargain IQ7's or IQ9's as the stability thing does not worry me.

We've got reviews of a couple of the new iQ KEFS (sorry, can't remember exact model numbers on a Sunday afternoon!) in our next issue, in shops 18th September, with subscribers sooner...

We've also seen some of the new 'C' series KEFs, too - again, there's a first test of a pair from that range, too.
