I'm rather new to streaming. I have signed up for HiRes Qobuz streaming (not downloaded, at least not yet).
I now see that I nearly don't use my CD-player anymore, because many of my albums are streamed in a higher resolution. But my CDs were ordered alphabetically...

An early beginner's question here (please be gentle with this old man...):
How can I keep track of the albums I like? Do I have to search for the artist and album each time again, or can I create an organized alphabetical library where I can simply click on a band and an album? And if so, where and how can I do that?

If you use the Qobuz app, you can sort your favourites various ways, including alphabetically. To save as a Favourite click the heart symbol on the Album view, or Track view, as required.

@nopiano That's a great help, I had not yet found the 'Sort by' button.
With that I see the names of albums alphabettically. But not the names of composers/acts. Is it possible to edit the list, so I can always start with those names?
[Edit:] I found that I can like the artist, so for bands/acts the problem is solved. My question is still unsolved for classical music/composers.

My experience as a mostly ‘classical music’ listener is that no system is ideal. In fact, when streaming, it’s pot luck in many cases.

I have never stored any quantity of local files, whereas a pal who essentially ripped thousands of CDs created his own way of listing composer, title, piece, genre, opus no, era etc., so he can find Baroque or String Quartet or Op. 111, in a way no commercial device does.

The so called metadata stored with a download is often pretty random on Qobuz too, though they’re very amenable to hearing from users when listings go awry. For example, I’ve found a box of Beethoven Piano Sonatas with no opus numbers or actual number 1-32, and not even nicknames! Just Allegro, Andante, Presto or whatever, per sonata! It tests the memory, but isn’t very convenient.

You’ll find some lists think Barenboim is a composer, others a conductor and others the performer. It’s very random. Of course he can be two of those, depending on the piece. My pet hate is more of an Apple thing, calling a Chopin Mazurka a ‘song’, because they don’t know any better!

So, essentially, you have to find your own way.
