just turned the bass to -1

and boom.new hifi system.Ive tried before to get treble up by a notch or two, but it didnt sound right.Well never ocurred to me that bass -1 would make such an inprovement in overall balance.sounds so good.

Interesting!! Probably means the speakers you are driving aren't in their correct possition. Can you move them into their optimum possition???? Let us know how they sound then!!

Hurrah for tone controls! I am surmising that to get the mids and treble effect you speak of ear, the new bass sound is tight and well controlled with a clear start and finish to the note. What is your kit?

SteveR750 I wouldnt call it system, its the http://www.denver-electronics.com/pages/webside3.asp?articleGuid=7833&menuGuid=5386&subMenuguid=5395&subGroupGuid=2664 only the amp and subwoofer paired with tangent millennium 200.set to 2.1.the amp is 20w x 6 at 4 ohm, but it goes fairly loud with the tangents.i seriously doubt its only 20w.
