jamo S608 hcs3 speakers are they any good

has anyone listened to them are they any good for normal 2.1 and 5.1

Yip, listened to them a variety of time in different homes - thus with different acoustics. Match well with an Onkyo TX-NR 808. The towers have tons of bass and perform extremely well without the need of a sub. I`ve listened to these speakers in stereo applications with, and without the sub - performs best (mho) with the AVR setting on "pure", thus without the use of a sub, irrespective the genre of music. For a 5.1 – a Jamo 650 sub (or two), nuff said. The C60 center speaker is the weakest link in the combo, maybe because my ears are used to a C80 center. I feel the center speaker works the hardest in a theater setup, thus a good quality center would be in order. Not everybody’s ears appreciate sound in the same manner……..
