Right take a deep breath - my wife & I both have a collection of various iPods, iTouch & iPhone. We use iTunes to download music, video, apps etc & are happy with this & don't want to change. We also have a Sonos system which is also excellent & very user friendly, most music lossless on a NAS but it also syncs with iTunes.

The problem is that we have 2 profiles on our PC, one for me & one for my wife, & her iTunes account is set up on her profile & my account on my profile. Now we have duplicates on both profiles & if we plug an iPod etc. when on the others profile it won't sync or crashes or wants to remove all the content & replace with the others - aaargh!! Also Sonos syncs only with my iTunes so any music she downlaods isn't added.

Any ideas on what to do? Should we just use one iTunes account & set up different libraries (think you can do that?), but does this mean we still have to buy separate apps for her devices & mine, how many can you have on one account?

Any help gratefully accepted. Thanks.

I would have one itunes account with both ipods authorised to sync with it. Make two playlists, his and hers for example. When you connect an ipod on the screen that comes up click the music tab. You will see on the left a box with your playlists in it. Tick the box for the playlist you want with that ipod. In the box on the right there is a list of all of the artists. Tick the boxes for all of the artists you want on that playlist

You then sync each ipod with its playlist. The Sonos will then hopefully sync with the whole library. I do not have a Sonos, so I am not sure of that last part.
