No crashes, but the latest version of iTunes has been rather slow on my Mac.

Since not all users have problems, your best bet is to run some maintainance routines. Onyx is a nice, free application that removes outdated stuff in the system, fix disk permissions etc. Doing this after every OS and application updates helps you avoid a lot of annoying problems anyway.

DavidNorway:Ive always liked your views and advice is normally in my way of thinking, until now!

Just wanted you to know that I'd tried iTunes this morning and it was running fine, so apparently not an iTunes server problem, although I guess it may be localised one. If worst comes to worst, try deleting iTunes application and reinstalling it.

But yes, OnyX is well worth trying: may just be your computer needs a general wash and brush-up.

Can I suggest you run a permissions repair on your mac via the disc utility in the applications folder. This may well sort out any glitches.
