With my experience with Sharp panels, they tend to be very average or below average in all areas of performance i.e freeview, dvd/bd etc
Even the panels they make for other companies tend to be rusbbish and develop faults according to sources
I haven't see that particular model, so I can only judge on what I have seen upto now.
You would be much better off saving a little bit more and getting a far superior screen. Even Richersounds have screens around £320-400 that would probably produce alot better images around that price mark.
It depends on the set, the Sharp LCD44 (or something like that) which was going for around £300-£320 at the end of last year had an excellent freeview picture for the price poiint, but I've seen more Sharp sets which just don't cut it as mentioned in the above post, they've been quite inconsistent recently in my opinion
matthewpiano:Sanyo?? Don't bother. Save up a bit longer. You won't need much more to get a much better TV.
Agreed, I'd recommend sticking to the bigger brands (Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, LG, Toshiba, Phillips, Sharp (depending on the model) off the top of my head)
