Don't think any other member here has a Dolby Vision ready kit except you, so no one else can recommend but you! 😀gel said:I think I am going to have to buy another Dolby Vision 4K Blu-ray and see again. Any recommendations?

I hope and pray they can both co-exist.Series1boy said:Looks like a HD-DVD vs Bluray war to me...
Just ordered from Amazon.com Power Rangers - Dolby Vision and Resident Evil Vendatta - Dolby Vision. I just want to demo more Dolby Vision 4K Blu-rays.strapped for cash said:@Series1boy
I honestly wouldn't sweat it.
The HD-DVD/BD format war was harder to navigate, since buying the losing technology meant owning largely useless hardware.
That isn't the case with HDR vs. DV vs. future variants.
You can still play DV discs and software on non-DV-ready 4K hardware, so any potential downsides are considerably smaller.
@Gel
Well, there's Despicable Me and Despicable Me 2. Great if you like both Steve Carell and minions...
You could check out what's available on Blu-ray.com. There's not a lot at the moment. As I understand it, even the big catalogue titles soon to hit 4K BD, such as Close Encounters, E.T., and Blade Runner, won't be in the DV format.

The way I upgrade I would say there's no point.Series1boy said:gel said:I would say it's definitely a fad having tried 3 Dolby Vision 4k Blu-rays now.
I would say calibration is the way forward to squeeze the best out of all HDR formats including DV...

That's not classed as a fault. I don't think they've made any changes to Dolby Vision to label it as 1st and 2nd generation, have they?gel said:I am starting to think it might be my one year old TVs fault here. It was the first generation TV of Dolby Vision and all the new reviews praising it (see HCC for example) are second generation ones. I can't demo side by side to do a comparison though, just something I thought may be going on.
Nope, I am sticking with this one for years, I haven't got the money to upgrade each year now. Like I said Power Rangers looked quite good but I didn't think much to the Despicables.bigboss said:That's not classed as a fault. Dolby Vision content is only available now, so this is the only time they will test it. Obviously they will test it on latest TVs. It doesn't mean your TV has any fault.
Stop looking for excuses to change your TV! 🙂
gel said:I am not a fan of Dolby Vision, I bought Despicable Me One and Two and put it on my Oppo 203 (after doing the firmware update), and to say I was disappointed was an understatement! The picture to me looked like DVD/Blu-ray. You couldn't see the difference like on HDR on the Oppo, but when I forced the Oppo to just do HDR again (having not tried it first time), the HDR picture looked much better.
