I think I am going to have to buy another Dolby Vision 4K Blu-ray and see again. Any recommendations?

I honestly wouldn't sweat it.
The HD-DVD/BD format war was harder to navigate, since buying the losing technology meant owning largely useless hardware.
That isn't the case with HDR vs. DV vs. future variants.
You can still play DV discs and software on non-DV-ready 4K hardware, so any potential downsides are considerably smaller.

You could check out what's available on Blu-ray.com. There's not a lot at the moment. As I understand it, even the big catalogue titles soon to hit 4K BD, such as Close Encounters, E.T., and Blade Runner, won't be in the DV format.

7.2 and 9.2 respectively.
I would say the 7012 may have your desired 11.2 but can't find anything as yet.

I am starting to think it might be my one year old TVs fault here. It was the first generation TV of Dolby Vision and all the new reviews praising it (see HCC for example) are second generation ones. I can't demo side by side to do a comparison though, just something I thought may be going on.

That's not classed as a fault. I don't think they've made any changes to Dolby Vision to label it as 1st and 2nd generation, have they?gel said:
Dolby Vision content is only available now, so this is the only time they will test it. Obviously they will test it on latest TVs. It doesn't mean your TV has any fault.

Nope, I am sticking with this one for years, I haven't got the money to upgrade each year now. Like I said Power Rangers looked quite good but I didn't think much to the Despicables.bigboss said:

I have set my TV to AVForums calibrated settings, for day, night, HDR and Dolby Vision. Looking good so far. Fliipping turned out rubbish, did a factory reset and now using factory settings for bright and dark settings in the isf modes.
