I was wondering, is a HDMI 2.0a with HDCP 2:2 really future proof for 4K/UHD pass through if the standards haven't been ratified yet. Does the Amp not to conform to standards or is it the TV and Blu-Ray player? I'd have thought the Aamp as it's in the path would need it as well. I only ask as I'm considering the Marantz SR7010 next year

I wonder if there will be a model that has 11 channel amps on board.

The Onkyo is a year old and does not have the latest spec? Also I prefer Audyssey although not sure if that is as prevalent as a few years back??

Actually, Onkyo has all the latest spec you need, that's why they haven't updated it this year. It has HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 and is capable of passing 4K at 60Hz. It also supports all the latest audio codecs.

Anthem's ARC is superior to Audyssey, but the MRX 1120 will cost around £3200.

The reason I would be interested in a higher spec Marantz is that I would expect it to only cost a bit more than the 9.2 model and therefore significantly less than the Onkyo.
P.S. I own an Onkyo 805 and it still amazes me at over 8 years old.

Onkyo NR3030 is now available for £2199 which is the cheapest (and the only if you ignore the Integra) 11.2 channel AV receiver at the moment.
