I will be installing a new AV system in the next week or so. I have yet to decide on the cabinet, and will probably get one made to 'match' othe bits of furniture in the room. It will have solid wooden doors/drwers so will need an IR repeater of some sort to enable the remotes to work (Denon amp and bluray, sky hd+, and arcam audio amp and cd player). The inside of the cabinet will probably be 2 rows deep and 3 across, meaning 6 separate areas to be accessed by the signal. The chap in the shop said a suitable piece of kit will cost me c. £100. I've seen a few IR repeaters on the web but they seem more aimed at controlling units in different rooms - not what I want to do. Any ideas what to use (and hopefully not costing £100!). Cheers

Try Keene.co.uk. I use one of their IR extenders and a faceplate to relay/control my hifi gear in a wardrobe and it works a treat.

I use the Marmitek Powermids. Great bit of kit and you can get a add on for kit inside cabinets.

Also they're a lot cheaper than you've been quoted.
