ipod on home cinema system

hope someone can help...have a pana th-37px70b tv...just bought pana sc-bt222 home cinema system with blue ray....everything works good except i can only get black and white picture from my ipod (ipod touch 32gb 2nd generation)...phoned panasonic they suggested a new video cable...bought a good quality one but still the same

tried switching between pal/ntsc output on the ipod?
