iPod dock / DAC

Not sure if this is the right area of the forums but...

Going to buy an iPod dock type thing tomorrow and was wondering about either the Pure i20 which has a built in DAC or the Arcam ir-dock (which I don't think does).

Going to connect to a Sony Str dh800 and played through my Kef Q35.2s.

Any thoughts greatly appreciated!

I have the Pure and think it sounds better than the Arcam because of the built in DAC and you have the option to upgrade to an external DAC later on. I have just bought an rDac and it gives a noticeable improvement straight out of the box.

I've been and bought the Pure i20 and connected it with a phono cable to the analogue inputs on the receiver and it has made a huge difference. It's really un-muddied the music- but then I was listening to CDs through a cheap (Sony BDP S360) Blu- ray player via hdmi and using the dac on the receiver. Makes listening to music actually enjoyable again!
