iPlayer on Foxsat

I am very impressed with the PQ off the Humax box, much better than that from my PC. This is an unexpected benefit, along with the all the radio stations that I can now play through my hi-fi system - for me worth the cost of the box alone, before you use it to watch TV in whatever definition!

Hi

was it easy to set up? I have a Foxsat but have never bothered to network it but if the PQ is better than off my media centre then its worth a look.

So other than the network cable what set up is involved from the Foxsat end?

Cheers

was it easy to set up?It's a piece of cake! I have a Foxsat but have never bothered to network it but if the PQ is better than off my media centre then its worth a look. You get an Standard and High Quality option(no HD option as of yet)-Standard can look a bit YouTubish at times, but the HQ option can look as good as an good quality SD broadcast.

So other than the network cable what set up is involved from the Foxsat end?

Cheers Just a case of connecting to your router via ethernet, then pressing the red button when on BBC and then selecting IPlayer from the menu.

To temper this, I tried to watch "Atom" twice today, both times it just started to drop out the audio, then both pic and audio, first time was about 2 pm, second time around 9pm this eve. Maybe its because its so popular, but not a great start....pic quality was set at std, not "HQ" but was still very good, far far better than yooftube.

As above its as simple as connecting an ethernet cable into the box and your router and pressing the red button when on BBC channels. You might have to wait a while for it to upload the option, but it will come, Ray.
