iphone to dac?

Hi, thinking of getting an iphone and was wondering if you can connect this

direct to my Dacmagic? or is there another way to get it conected to the hi-fi?

you would need a suitable Dock.

but i still dont see why people would want to.

the iPhone has more uses as a remote and does not hold many full fat tunes. better to stream with an media player/pc/laptop.

Hi, I think you would probably need a digital dock. I run mine through Onkyo's ND-S1 digital dock, through my DacMagic and onto my reciever which is set to analogue direct. Works a treat and sounds bloody gd too.

cheers for that, looks like a couple of options.

the remote controling a hard drive sounds like best option for more storage

what other bits of kit / cables would i need for that option?

You can also use a Chord Chordett Gem DAC to send the music via bluetooth to the Chord DAC.
