Not sure what DAC you are considering but USB dacs tend to require a USB connection.
As far as I am aware the iPhone doesn't have a USB output.
I am no expert but isn't the idea to get a digital feed out of an iPhone via a lightning connection?

Get a dragonfly usb and a lightning connector. The lightning connects to your phone, the dragonfly to the lightning and then a lead to your amp.
